I can't remember what I wrote about last, except it had something to do with Trevor's baseball. Sorry if I'm repeating myself.
The day after school Natalie went to a birthday party for Chloe Wesche (a friend of hers who lives up the street). They were out side on the monkey bars when Natalie fell and land on her hand. She stuck it out there for awhile, then ended up at my back door in tears. We got the ace bandage, an aspirin and kissed her better and sent her back to the party. I didn't think much of it. By the time she really came home from the party, it was pretty swollen. Sunday was church and it was Still swollen. By Monday I finally gave in and took her to IHC (they have an xray machine). The Doctor likes to refer to it as a 'squishy'. Natalie & I laughed at that one. It sounded like something from a Dr. Suess book. It was not a full break, it just compounded down together. Very common. We took the xray's and made an appointment with Dr. Giannini for it to be set in a cast the next day. Way to start out the summer!
She did get her cast off on Tuesday. It got so bad when the kids went to St. George, that they ended up duct taping it to keep it together. She's very glad it's off, but looks a little like a zebra now. I had the Doctor look at her ear while we were there and she has a hole in her ear drum. Oh my heck. What is next with her. We know it wasn't there in March, when she had her yearly check up. So we are hoping it closes on it's own. In the mean time, swimming is tough for her right now. She gets water in it and it just hurts. We go back next month & we'll see what they say.
Trevor tried out for all stars at the end of the season. He had family and church commitments the first 2 weeks (which of course were when the games were), so he didn't make the team. What a good kid. He finished his summer school a few weeks ago at well as summer PE. We got his report card this week that said he received a C- in math. YEAH! That was the hard way to get it though. Hopefully next year it will be better. I haven't talked to him much in the last few weeks. Uncle Brian came and picked them up on June 28th and took him and his siblings back to St. George with him. By Thursday I think my boys were missing me. I was missing them too. They had played hard and had a good time. We stayed until Saturday, then headed for home. Monday afternoon he headed to Smith & Morehouse for scout camp. He'll be home this afternoon and boy am I glad! I think his sister is too, since she has had Porter duties while I was at work this week. He's got a couple of weeks off, then starts in with summer band the last week of the month.
We had the Maverik monster truck stop by our house one night. My brother in law works for Maverik and had it in St. George for this that and the other. They brought it back up, and everyone got to go for a ride. It was fun too to see everyone eye us and we drove around. That thing is a monster.
We also went up the canyon for a picnic dinner with the Sullengers and Baggetts. It was a lot of fun. I forget how truly GREAT the GREAT OUTDOORS are. The kids just play and everything is cool and content. I really do enjoy it more then I let on. Craig keeps talking about a camper. I may have to give in, after my remodel it complete.
Speaking of which, I have walls & a floor, but not ceiling/porch. Craig worked, while I went to St. George to pick up the kids, and got the main water line replaced as well as all the dirt distributed to the neighbors that wanted it. He got a ton done. He's such a good hard worker and he'll never understand how much I truly love and appreciate everything he does for us. I'm hoping for the ceiling/porch soon (like this week) but Craig still has to fix the gas line and then we have to get it inspected and then get the concrete guys here. It will happen soon. Especially since on Monday it's suppose to RAIN. I have a feeling that my basement will be getting water in it. I hope we still have our big tarp. I just don't know how we will keep it down. I'll have to figure that out.
Porter is Porter. He had gone to cousin Alex's birthday party before he left for St. George. He told me this week that he "didn't want to go to Alex's birthday party next time." I said why and he said, "I don't like his girlfriends". We'll sooo sorry about that. I'm sure he will change his mind next year when the invitation comes around again. I'm sure he had that on his mind for a week + and wanted to let me know. He is a very funny boy who still tries to be big like the other kids.
I got brave and took off on Liz's little cruiser that she got for Mother's day. Oh wow. That is fun. It doesn't go more than 30 mph and it gets her to and from school or to and from the girls friends house etc. It is way fun. I may have to put that on my wish list. My other wild hair that I got was reading the TWILIGHT series. Oh my heck. I have lost myself over the last 10 days. I am such an EDWARD fan. I am down 38 pounds now. I still am going slow but I have realized the secret. I HAVE to write everything down. That make such a difference to me. So simple and stupid. What ever it takes though.
We had the funeral for Aunt Jeannine yesterday. She is my mom's aunt who we all LOVED very much. Since my mom was suppose to speak at her funeral but is on a mission in Hungary I volunteered to give her talk for her. I am so glad that I did. Great memories were shared. I took Becky down with me and we just rattled off all sorts of memories we had. Seeing our "cousins" again (2nd cousins) was great too. Eva Jean was such a kind & loving person. She truly gave, gave & gave some more. She didn't have a lot, but she did give a lot. What a great day it was. We even got to drive by my Great Grandpa Vincents home. Wow, what great memories!! The Spanish Fork cemetery is so big and I remembered the entrance to it, once we got there. I probably hadn't been there since 80 or 81. It was nice to be "home".
We'll it 9 am and I've got sharing time to finish preparing for tomorrow, as well as a house to clean and laundry and grocery shopping and who know what else is in store for this day. Hope all of you are well. ---Anne

I could tell by your pictures that you have been continuing to loose weight. You look good, but keep going. The pictures of the funeral were wonderful. I am going to copy them somewhere. I have had some glowing reports of your performance there. I loved to see you on the scooter. I hadn't seen a picture of it before. The pictures were all great. I really liked the one with all the kids in the back, only some weren't there. It is nice to hear you have the reaction that I had every summer...it just started and then is half gone.
It just happens that way.
